Abstract:

Teoretsko področje preprečevanja oboroženih konfliktov še ni ustrezno odgovorilo, na kak način naj mednarodne organizacije pristopijo k preprečevanju konflikta v določenem konfliktnem okolju (kakšne pristope, strategije in sredstva uporabiti) in kako tovrstno delovanje mednarodnih organizacij percepira lokalno prebivalstvo. Raziskava delno zapolnjuje to vrzel; fokusira se na vlogo štirih mednarodnih organizacij (OZN, OVSE, EU in NATO) na Kosovu med letoma 1999 in 2008. Raziskovalna metodologija je temeljila na vzajemnem prepletanju kvalitativne in kvantitativne analize: analiza primarnih in sekundarnih virov, zgodovinska analiza, anketiranje na terenu in intervjuvanje. Izvedenih je bilo 123 anket in 33 polstrukturiranih intervjujev. V ADP so dostopni le podatki zbrani z anketo.

Vprašalnik je v izpolnjevanje prejelo vseh 120 poslancev skupščine Kosova: 100 poslancev albanske narodnosti, 13 poslancev srbske narodnosti in 7 poslancev drugih manjšin. V primeru lokalnih prebivalcev je bil vprašalnik naključno razdeljen med prebivalce krajev Leposavič (120), Ajvalija (90) in Gračanica (90). Kraji so bili izbrani iz dveh razlogov, t.j. zaradi specifičnosti etične strukture prebivalstva in geografske lege (več informacij je na voljo v doktorskem delu).
