This webinar introduces how longitudinal and cohort data can strengthen decision-making and communication across public institutions, media, and civil society. Tracking people’s lives over time provides powerful insights into how early-life conditions, education, employment, health, and family transitions shape future outcomes.

Participants will explore how such data help answer questions that other data sources cannot, and how they can guide better policies, advocacy, and reporting. Through examples from across Europe, including studies on well-being, fertility intentions, and health inequalities, we will demonstrate how longitudinal evidence can translate into practical tools for NGOs, journalists, teachers, and policymakers.

The webinar will also cover strategies for accessing datasets and for presenting findings in clear, engaging formats that resonate with diverse audiences.
