October 16, 2017

A new study, entitled "Evacuation Preparedness in Nuclear Disaster, 2012" was published. The study aims to investigate the preparedness to evacuate (in the event of a nuclear accident) of the population, institutions, and businesses that reside or operate in the 3-kilometer radius around the Krško Nuclear Power Plant.

The study includes a public poll that was conducted among residents of Krško and 12 in-depth interviews that were made with managers of twelve major companies and institutions of the Krško area. The main goal was to obtain objective findings of preparedness to evacuate in the municipality of Krško and on this basis to give recommendations that will contribute to the improvement of planning and act in the event of a nuclear accident, especially to enable faster and more effective announcement and implementation of evacuation.
