In the EKDB and W workshop, both the discussion of technical issues and the presentation of applications will help to increase the experience in the domain of extracting useful and non-trivial information from large databases and data warehouses. The presentations will hopefully bridge the gap between research and practice, improving both. Invitation to industrial partners will help to project the socio-economic importance of AI.
