The Congress will allow social scientists from different parts of the world to exchange ideas and to establish long-term collaborative relationships. Several of the plenary sessions will focus on the frontiers of sociology. Some sessions will focus on cutting-edge research in sociology while others will focus on the relationship between sociology and its neighbouring disciplines. These sessions will include prominent representatives from a range of different disciplines such as history, economics, anthropology, psychology, political science and statistics.
