The Online Dating Survey is the first sociological survey on the sexual behavior of Internet users regarding Internet dating in Slovenia. It is part of a three-year research project (2007-2010) in which the authors dealt with the characteristics of using web portals to meet potential partners. They were interested in the attitude of users towards partnerships, love, family, sexuality, etc. The population consisted of people who use or have used websites in order to find partners for various activities (future live partnership, for virtual friendship or live friendship, for internet chat, for live sex or virtual sex). The main survey was conducted in January and February 2007, through an online survey that was available for 17 days. The link to the survey was shared by email through personal acquaintances, other e-mail lists and with advertisements published on some of the largest Slovenian portals for meeting partners (e.g. She-he, Cupid, Friends and flirting, Meet and others).
