Online Workshop: Automatic Sampling and Analysis of YouTube Data

Start: Feb. 21, 2022
End: Feb. 22, 2022
Place: Online
Organizer: GESIS (German Microdata Lab)

YouTube is the most popular video platform on the Internet, generating large amounts of data. This data is also of interest to researchers in social sciences (and other disciplines) to study various aspects of the use of online media. However, accessing and working with this data can be challenging.

At the online workshops held from 21 to 22 February 2022 and organized by the German institute GESIS, participants will learn how to use YouTube data for their research. They will learn about tools and methods for data collection, processing and cleaning, and will be able to do some basic (research) analysis of user comments.

The workshop is intended primarily for researchers interested in using YouTube data for their research.
