Winter school: Using EUROMOD in cross country microsimulation, 21.–23. 11. 2018

Date: Sept. 3, 2018
Place: Colchester, UK
Organizer: InGRID - European research infrastructures
InGRID is organizing summer school on Advanced research on integration of migrants and refugees, which will be held at the University of Essex, between november 21th and 23th, 2018.

The aim of the course is to provide academics, policy practitioners and other interested users with an introduction to the concepts, structure and functioning of EUROMOD.

EUROMOD is a state-of-the-art tax-benefit microsimulation model linking microdata from household surveys and policy legislation in a single user interface.

The course combines lectures with live demonstrations of the model. Participants also have the opportunity to carry out a number of hands-on exercises to test and refine their understanding of the model.

Requirements for attending the winter school are an interest in using microsimulation for policy analysis, a basic knowledge of quantitative analysis and familiarity with Stata is desirable but not essential.

Participation to this summer school is free of charge and subsistence costs are covered by the project. Potential participants may receive a partial reimbursement of travel costs.

Deadline for applications: September 3, 2018.
