Applying to ECASS

Applications are invited from bona fide scientific researchers from eligible European Member States to spend periods of two weeks to three months at ISER carrying out their research.
Eligibility Criteria

ECASS is open to scientific researchers carrying out non-proprietary research who fulfil the following requirements:

* they are affiliated to an institution from an EU Member State or FP6 Associated State (Croatia, Iceland, Israel, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey).
* the results of their work carried out at ECASS can be published in the open literature. Proprietary research (research where results are not generally available to the public or only made available under confidentiality arrangements) cannot be supported
* it is also expected that successful applicants will be computer-literate and fluent in English.

Calls for Applications

As funding for ECASS ceases at the end of February, 2010, no further formal calls for applications will be made. However, a very limited number of funded visits for a minimum period of 2-3 weeks between 4 January 2010 and the end of February might be available. Applications can be accepted from any researcher conducting research in an institution within the EU 27 or an FP6 Associated State. Grants cover travel expenses, accommodation and a per diem to cover living expenses. Researchers are free to carry out their own research based on ECASS resources.

The absolute deadline is December 1st 2009.
