Interdisciplinary collaboration and easy and quick access to research results are needed to form a better understanding of the effect of the virus on the social life and individuals. This is the reason data archives all over the world have been organizing central data collection points for research on the coronavirus disease. In Slovenia, the collection point for data on social aspects of the epidemic has been established at the Social Science Data Archives.
Since the start of the COVID-19 epidemic, scientists, research agencies and journalists have been collecting various data on people’s lives, the effect of the disease on the cultural and economic life, and on the changes in the individual sectors, such as education, social benefits, art and culture, eating habits etc. Users of the themed collection can access metadata, data and accompanying research documentation.
Collaboration of the research community and the interested public can contribute and improve the protective and safety measures regarding public health and can unify the response of all stakeholders in the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Slovenia.
