| This presentation was delivered as part of the DCC Webinar Series and provides an introduction to CESSDA (Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives), the European research infrastructure (ERIC) for social science data. The webinar presents CESSDA's mission, history, services, tools, and impact in supporting FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and Open Science practices. It covers the CESSDA Data Catalogue, Data Management Expert Guide (DMEG), Data Archiving Guide (DAG), Metadata Validator, CESSDA Vocabulary Service, ELSST Thesaurus, and Data Citation Guide. The presentation illustrates how CESSDA supports researchers, data professionals, repositories, and the wider research community throughout the research data lifecycle, promoting trustworthy repositories, metadata standards, interoperability, data citation, and responsible research data sharing. It also highlights CESSDA's contributions to EOSC and Horizon Europe projects and outlines future developments related to FAIR assessments, data management planning, interoperability frameworks DDI-CDI, and emerging applications of Artificial Intelligence in social science research. |
