CASS is a programme of short courses in applied social surveys run by the Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute (S3RI) at the University of Southampton. CASS continues the successful short course programme established in 1995 as part of the Centre for Applied Social Surveys, an ESRC Resource Centre. The programme is coordinated with the ESRC National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) programme of training. From 1 April 2009 CASS will formally be part of NCRM.

CASS provides short courses for academic social scientists and applied researchers in government, market research and the independent and voluntary sectors. The programme covers topics in survey design and implementation, survey sampling, data collection and data analysis methods. Read more.
