Slovenian public opinion
2020/3 includes several themes: (1) "Mirror of public opinion", (2)
module of questions on the environment of the international survey ISSP
2020 - Enviroment; (3) module on media and migration issues; (4) a short
set of views and actions during the covid-19 epidemic; and (5) a short
section on industrial hemp preparations. The "Mirror of Public Opinion"
section mainly covers the following contents: satisfaction with certain
aspects of life (including self-assessment of health, assessment of the
material situation of the household), assessment of the situation in
some social subsystems, attitude towards democracy, attitude towards
immigration, some aspects of trust, political orientations and values,
protest participation. The module on attitudes and actions related to
the environment (ISSP 2020 - Environment) includes questions on certain
aspects of nationalism, attitudes towards institutions and trust. The
core of the module includes the following environmental topics:
detection of various environmental threats; attitude towards climate
change; environmental values; self-efficacy in environmental protection;
environmental cooperation; certain practices from everyday life that
are relevant from the point of view of environmental protection;
environmental activism (participation). The research "Media and the
issue of migration" records the attitude towards media reporting (in
general and about migration) and the problem of migration from different
angles. The following key topics are: attitudes towards politics and
politicians, monitoring of the mass media, trust in the mass media,
assessment of media reporting, media reporting on migration, feelings
related to Slovenian migration policy, position on how to solve the
migrant problem, views on the consequences of immigration to life in
Slovenia.
