New Study: Fathers and Employers in Action, 2015

A new study, entitled Fathers and Employers in Action, 2015: Web survey among employed fathers, was published. The main purpose of research Fathers and Employers in action was to study the trends of fathering and fatherhood in relation to paid work.


Research attention has been given to three aspects: caring role of working fathers in family life, paid work and the possibility of reconciling paid work and care for children. In addition, the research attention was also devoted to various forms of employment, in particularly in precarious form of work and on managerial positions and the possibility of reconciling these two spheres of life. For this purpose an online survey was conducted on a sample of 489 fathers from Slovenia.


Data file includes retrospective data on paternity and parental leave for 2003-2015 period. In 2003 the paternity leave was introduced in Slovenia.
