On Friday, March 15, 2024, as part of the OSCARS project, a public call for proposals for projects or services of open science promoting research according to the FAIR principles in the European Research Area (ERA) was announced.
The OSCARS project (Open Science Clusters for Research and Society) involves fifteen partners, representatives of European research infrastructure. It is organized into five scientific clusters (social sciences and humanities, life sciences, environmental science, photon and neutron science, astronomy, nuclear physics, and particle physics), which are part of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative. The project is co-funded by the EU under the Horizon program.
Applicants can be individual researchers, research groups, universities, research institutions, institutes, consortia in EU member states or associated EU member states, and they can apply for projects/services from any of the areas mentioned in the scientific clusters. The value of each project, which will last from one to two years, will be between 100,000 to 250,000 euros.
The Social Science Data Archive is included in the project through the University of Ljubljana. All its members and research centers also have the opportunity to apply for the mentioned call.
The deadline for submission is 60 days from the publication of the call.
