Deposit and publish

The depositor submits the data, supporting materials and metadata description to the digital collection on ADP Dataverse. To access Dataverse, the researcher has to register or log in with an e-identity obtained from her/his own institution.

Steps to data publication: 

1. Register/log in into your account at ADP Dataverse Collection.
2. To enter a new study, click on the “Add study” button on the right and select “New study”.
3. Complete the contact details in the Deposit Agreement and note the conditions of depositing. Confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions. If you are publishing the research on behalf of the main author or the owner of the study, correct the information about the depositor accordingly. 
4. Enter the required study information in the input fields, i. e. citation metadata, geographical metadata and methodology.

5. Upload the files and add their information, i. e. the related metadata. Be sure to upload the data file, the questionnaire or other data collection instrument used and the legal basis for sharing the data (consent form on participation in the study, intellectual property rights, etc.). 
6. Click on the “Save study” button.
7. Click “Submit for review” to deposit your research to the ADP. 
8. ADP reviews a study. It evaluates the study according to the criteria, proposes any additions and corrections to the metadata and materials, and decides upon the appropriate type of curation (long-term data curation or short-term data curation self-deposit) in the ADP Collection. At this stage, communication between ADP and the depositor takes place. 
9. Once the materials and metadata are properly prepared, the ADP publishes the study in the ADP Collection.

Remember that a thorough metadata description is necessary to understand the data file and related materials and is necessary for reusing the study. As with the preparation of the data, only the author, as the most knowledgeable person, can make the greatest contribution to bibliographic information description and methodological details of the study.
