Applied Probability is a very broad research area that is of interest to scientists in diverse disciplines such as actuarial science, reliability theory, quality control, health sciences, biology, economics, computer science, operations research, finance, linguistics, environmental sciences, psychology, social sciences etc. The purpose of the 2nd IWAP is to provide a forum where researchers in the field of Applied Probability from universities throughout the world, as well as practitioners who use probabilistic methods in their applied research can discuss current problems, new approaches and future directions.The workshop will concentrate on the various aspects of Applied Probability, including theoretical developments, applications and computational methods.The scientific program will include plenary sessions (one hour talks) each day, followed by parallel invited and contributed sessions. Invited speakers will present 30 minute talks. Based on the demand, poster sessions will be organized as well.
