This hands-on workshop, to be held on July 10, 2016, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the National Research Conference on Early Childhood in Washington, DC, will introduce researchers to the Head Start CARES (Classroom-based Approaches and Resources for Emotion and Social-skill Promotion) data. The Head Start CARES Demonstration tested three distinct approaches to enhancing children's social-emotional development on a large scale within the Head Start system.



The Head Start CARES data are currently available for secondary analysis through Research Connections and are well-suited for use by graduate students exploring research opportunities, instructors interested in bringing large datasets into the classroom, and researchers analyzing the development of young children and their early childhood experiences.



There is no fee to attend this workshop, but space is limited and advance registration is required. You must be registered for the National Research Conference on Early Childhood to participate. Workshop slots will be awarded on a first-come/first-served basis.
