The research is part of the DEAGENCY project, which examines the role and agency of the dead in the lives of individuals across different social, cultural, and political contexts of post-socialist societies. The study was conducted in north-western Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the Bosanska Krajina region, where the researcher investigated mass graves and the roles of the dead in the everyday lives of individuals. Data were collected using ethnographic methods, primarily through in-depth semi-structured interviews and participant observation. A total of 106 interviews were conducted with people from local urban and rural communities in the areas surrounding Prijedor, Sanski Most, and Ključ. All transcripts are available in the ADP.
